Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Group fitness and Boxing Instructor for our adult and youth boxing classes to inspire and motivate individuals of all ages and skill levels through boxing training sessions. As a key member of our fitness and wellness team, you will lead engaging classes, teach proper boxing techniques, and promote a safe environment that encourages personal growth and fitness achievement. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your passion for boxing, health and wellness while helping clients improve their strength, coordination, and confidence. Duties Lead group adult and youth and one-on-one boxing classes tailored to different skill levels, from beginners to advanced athletes Demonstrate proper boxing techniques, including stance, punches, footwork, and defensive moves Develop customized training plans that align with clients' fitness goals and abilities Ensure safety protocols are followed during all training sessions, including proper use of equipment and injury prevention measures Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to help clients improve their skills and technique Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting training routines as needed to maximize results Maintain a clean and organized training area, ensuring all equipment is in good condition and properly stored Skills Prior experience as a boxing instructor or coach with strong knowledge of boxing fundamentals Background in martial arts or combat sports such as karate, judo, or kickboxing is highly desirable Experience working with children or diverse age groups in a coaching or teaching capacity Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct clients of varying skill levels and backgrounds Ability to manage behavior and foster a positive, motivating environment for all participants Knowledge of health and safety procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and injury prevention practices Familiarity with sports-specific training techniques for improving strength, endurance, agility, and coordination Experience in sports coaching such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading or climbing enhances your ability to engage athletes across disciplines Proven team leadership skills with the ability to motivate others and promote teamwork during training sessions Previous experience working in health clubs or gym environments is advantageous Join us as at One Studio Boxing to empower individuals through high-energy training sessions that boost confidence, fitness levels, and overall well-being.
