Patrick Space Force Base Fitness Center — Cocoa Beach / Satellite Beach, FL Independent Contract Positions — Multiple Formats — Start Date on or about 1 October 2026 Down Range Training Group (DRTG), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, has submitted a quotation to provide group aerobics instruction to the Department of the Air Force under a services contract with the 45th Contracting Squadron at Patrick Space Force Base. In support of this proposed contract, DRTG is building an on-call roster of certified instructors to teach one or more group fitness formats at the base Fitness Center. This is class-by-class independent contractor work — great for certified instructors who want flexible, recurring hours on a well-run, professionally managed contract. No prior government contracting experience needed; DRTG handles scheduling, facility coordination, and administration.Please note:
final hiring is contingent upon DRTG's contract award. We are building our applicant pool now so we can mobilize quickly if awarded, but no start dates or class assignments will be confirmed until the Government makes an award decision. Open Formats & Pay Per Class Classes are 45-60 minutes, scheduled Monday through Friday between 5:00 AM and 8:00 PM, by mutual agreement on a published monthly schedule. Pay is per completed, verified class — instructors are welcome to apply for one or multiple formats.FORMAT CERTIFICATION NEEDED PAY / CLASS

List every format you're qualified to teach on your application — cross-trained instructors are especially valuable for backup coverage. Requirements- Current, nationally recognized certification appropriate to each format you wish to teach (e.g., ACE, NASM, AFAA, ACSM, NETA, Schwinn/Spinning, RYT, PMA, or equivalent for that discipline).
- Current CPR/AED certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association) and a current First Aid card.
- Personal liability insurance of at least $100,000 (instructors carry their own coverage).
- Ability to meet installation access requirements: valid REAL ID-compliant identification, background screening, and compliance with Security Forces base-access procedures.
- Reliable availability within the Monday-Friday, 0500-2000 window, including willingness to serve as a primary or backup/alternate instructor.
- Arrive at least 10 minutes before each class for a room and equipment check.
- Complete a one-time Fitness Center Emergency Action Plan (EAP) briefing before your first class.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and use current, appropriate music selections.
- Complete an official sign-in sheet after every class and report any injury or incident immediately.
- Provide at least 30 minutes' notice of a delay or inability to teach a scheduled class whenever possible. Compensation & Classification
- Paid per completed, verified class — no guaranteed minimum number of classes; the contract authorizes up to 500 classes total per year across all instructors, based on Government demand.
- Independent contractor (1099) relationship — instructors are responsible for their own taxes.
- Payment issued monthly following DRTG's reconciliation of sign-in sheets against the approved schedule.
- Anticipated start date on or about 1 October 2026, contingent upon contract award to DRTG.
