Job Description

DOWN RANGE TRAINING GROUP NOW HIRING
GROUP
FITNESS INSTRUCTORS
Patrick Space Force Base Fitness Center — Cocoa Beach / Satellite Beach, FL Independent Contract Positions — Multiple Formats — Start Date on or about 1 October 2026 Down Range Training Group (DRTG), a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, has submitted a quotation to provide group aerobics instruction to the Department of the Air Force under a services contract with the 45th Contracting Squadron at Patrick Space Force Base. In support of this proposed contract, DRTG is building an on-call roster of certified instructors to teach one or more group fitness formats at the base Fitness Center. This is class-by-class independent contractor work — great for certified instructors who want flexible, recurring hours on a well-run, professionally managed contract. No prior government contracting experience needed; DRTG handles scheduling, facility coordination, and administration.
Please note:
final hiring is contingent upon DRTG's contract award. We are building our applicant pool now so we can mobilize quickly if awarded, but no start dates or class assignments will be confirmed until the Government makes an award decision. Open Formats & Pay Per Class Classes are 45-60 minutes, scheduled Monday through Friday between 5:00 AM and 8:00 PM, by mutual agreement on a published monthly schedule. Pay is per completed, verified class — instructors are welcome to apply for one or multiple formats.

  • Arrive at least 10 minutes before each class for a room and equipment check.

  • Independent contractor (1099) relationship — instructors are responsible for their own taxes.
