Job Description
Fit4mom Lakewood Ranch/Sarasota is looking for an energetic, welcoming instructor to lead our Stroller Strides classes — a total-fitness program moms can do with their babies in tow. You'll build community as much as you build fitness, helping moms stay active, connect with other parents in the area, and feel supported through motherhood. We are looking for someone with availability to teach classes on Monday and Wednesday at 9am in the UTC area. Opportunities to grow, earn additional certifications, and take on more class days if desired. Responsibilities Plan and lead Stroller Strides classes according to the official FIT4MOM curriculum and format Create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for moms and babies of all fitness levels Set up and break down class equipment (resistance bands, exercise mats, etc.) at each location Greet and check in participants; help build class attendance and community engagement Communicate class schedule changes, weather cancellations, and updates to participants in a timely manner Complete and maintain required certifications (details below) Requirements Must become FIT4MOM certified in the Foundations and Stroller Strides format prior to teaching (certification process and cost details will be discussed during interview) Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before start date) Reliable transportation and ability to transport class equipment to and from outdoor/indoor locations Comfortable leading group fitness outdoors in varying weather condition Passion for working with moms, babies, and young childrenStrong communication and community-building skills Must be group fitness liability insured Compensation Details This is a 1099 contractor position $20 per class taught with attendance and sign up bonuses Benefits include: Free Monthly Membership to all classes Staff incentives, like bonuses!
