Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated, certified, experienced with 65+ aged participants Yoga Instructor to join our dynamic fitness team. In this role, you will lead engaging and well-structured yoga classes that promote physical health, mental well-being, and a sense of community among participants. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of yoga techniques, anatomy, and physiology, ensuring safe and effective instruction tailored to diverse client needs. This position offers an opportunity to inspire individuals on their wellness journeys while fostering a positive and motivating environment. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality yoga classes that incorporate various styles such as Hatha, Vinyasa, or restorative yoga, ensuring proper technique and alignment. Demonstrate exercises and routines clearly, providing modifications to accommodate different skill levels and physical abilities. Develop customized yoga programs that align with clients' fitness goals, health conditions, and experience levels. Educate participants on body mechanics, breathing techniques, and the benefits of yoga for overall health. Monitor participants' safety during classes, respond promptly to any discomfort or injuries, and administer first aid or CPR if necessary. Maintain a welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation and fosters motivation. Stay informed about the latest developments in yoga instruction, biomechanics, anatomy, and physiology to enhance teaching quality. Promote fitness industry best practices in group fitness classes while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Support client communication by providing guidance on exercise routines outside of class sessions. Contribute to the continuous improvement of class offerings through feedback collection and program evaluation. Skills Certified Yoga Instructor with recognized credentials demonstrating expertise in yoga instruction. Proven experience in leading group fitness classes with a focus on yoga techniques. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and body mechanics relevant to yoga practice. Familiarity with additional fitness disciplines such as Pilates, CrossFit, or dance is advantageous. Excellent demonstration skills coupled with the ability to teach exercise routines effectively.
