In person Position Summary The Athens YWCO is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and member-focused Fitness Instructor to lead safe, engaging, and effective fitness classes for members and guests of all fitness levels. The ideal candidate is energetic, welcoming, knowledgeable about fitness, and committed to creating a positive and inclusive environment where participants feel encouraged and supported. Responsibilities Lead safe, effective, and engaging group fitness classes. Provide clear instruction and demonstrate proper exercise techniques. Offer modifications for participants with different fitness levels and abilities. Create a welcoming and encouraging environment for members and guests. Maintain a professional and positive attitude during all classes. Follow YWCO safety guidelines, policies, and procedures. Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled classes. Communicate professionally with members, staff, and management. Help maintain a clean and organized fitness environment. Attend required training or staff meetings as needed. Qualifications Previous experience teaching fitness or group exercise classes preferred. Current fitness or group exercise certification appropriate to the classes being taught preferred/required. Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with individuals of varying fitness levels and abilities.
