Personal Trainer — Part-Time with Growth Opportunity We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and client-focused Personal Trainer to join our growing fitness team. This position is ideal for a trainer who wants the opportunity to build a strong client base and grow their hours and income over time . This role will begin as a part-time position , with hours increasing as the trainer develops relationships, generates clients, and builds a consistent training schedule. Candidates should be comfortable taking an active role in growing their personal training business rather than expecting a full client schedule immediately. Position Overview The Personal Trainer will provide professional, engaging, and results-driven training to clients with a variety of fitness levels and goals. Training will take place both inside the gym and at offsite locations , depending on client and business needs. Hours will be primarily during the afternoon and evening , when client demand is highest. Some flexibility may be required as the trainer's client base grows. Key Responsibilities Conduct one-on-one and small-group personal training sessions. Assess client goals, fitness levels, limitations, and training needs. Develop safe, effective, and individualized workout programs. Provide instruction on proper exercise technique, form, and equipment use. Motivate clients and help them remain accountable to their fitness goals. Track client progress and adjust programs as needed. Build strong relationships with current and prospective clients. Actively help develop and maintain a personal training client base. Communicate professionally with clients regarding scheduling and appointments. Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional training environment. Conduct training sessions at both the gym and approved offsite locations. Represent the organization professionally when working in the community. Schedule & Growth Opportunity This position starts part-time and is designed to grow . Initial hours will depend on client demand and scheduled training sessions. As the trainer acquires and retains more clients, there will be opportunities to increase training hours and build a larger schedule . The strongest fit will be someone who is excited about building relationships, attracting new clients, delivering an excellent training experience, and growing alongside the business.
Primary availability needed:
Afternoon through evening. Requirements Personal training certification from a recognized organization, or the ability to obtain an approved certification. CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain certification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, punctual, professional, and self-motivated. Comfortable working independently and managing client appointments. Ability to work primarily afternoon and evening hours. Willingness to work both inside the gym and at offsite locations. Reliable transportation is required. Trainers must be able to travel to offsite training locations as needed. Passion for fitness and helping others achieve measurable results. Preferred Qualifications Previous personal training, coaching, or fitness experience. Experience working with clients of different ages and fitness levels. Strong relationship-building and client-retention skills. Comfortable introducing personal training services to prospective clients. Interest in developing a long-term career in personal training.
