JOB DESCRIPTION
The Trainer is responsible for upholding Burn Boot Camp standards and providing an unmatched workout and member experience, while fostering community and helping members achieve their goals. Trainers support member growth and retention, Focus Meetings, trial conversion, community engagement, and approved system-wide initiatives. This position requires a strong ability to coach in a group setting while providing individualized attention, motivation, accountability, and appropriate exercise modifications. The Trainer supports the Burn lifestyle, including mindset, nutrition, strength, conditioning, and a positive community for change.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Train approximately 8-15 camps per week, based on scheduling needs, while adhering to Burn Boot Camp Protocol and Programming provided by HQ
  • Deliver safe, effective, energetic, organized, and engaging camps for members of varying fitness levels
  • Demonstrate proper exercise technique and provide clear coaching cues, corrections, progressions, and modifications while monitoring member safety throughout camp
  • Conduct Focus Meetings as assigned and work collaboratively with the training team to maintain regular individual contact with the active membership base
  • Help members establish goals, evaluate progress, celebrate accomplishments, and identify appropriate next steps
  • Maintain regular touchpoints with the training team regarding Programming, Protocol, member feedback, injuries, concerns, and current gym priorities
  • Work collaboratively with the Burn Ambassador and training teams to support membership growth, member retention, trial conversion, and the overall client experience
  • Support approved Burn Boot Camp challenges, programs, products, services, and other revenue generating initiatives
  • Support Burn Boot Camp Marietta social media efforts in accordance with Burn Boot Camp posting and brand standards
  • Participate in community events, philanthropic initiatives, member events, challenges, and other gym activities as assigned
  • Work with the training team to support and facilitate Kidz Camps and other special programming when applicable
  • Return equipment to its proper location and help maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional training environment
  • Promptly report damaged equipment, facility concerns, safety issues, or maintenance needs to the Head Trainer or management.

MEMBER EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS
  • Learn and use member names and provide individualized coaching within the group-training setting
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive, positive, supportive, and challenging environment for members of all fitness levels
  • Recognize member progress, milestones, and accomplishments while providing encouragement and accountability
  • Support Burn Boot Camp Blue Carpet Experience and member-service standards
  • Identify members who may need additional encouragement, follow-up, accountability, or support and communicate those needs to the appropriate team member
  • Treat members, prospective members, coworkers, and guests professionally and respectfully and take ownership of the overall member experience.
PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS
  • Arrive on time and prepared for all scheduled camps, meetings, training sessions, and other responsibilities, and follow established procedures for absences, schedule changes, and coverage
  • Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, training sessions, and team-development activities as required
  • Be receptive to coaching and feedback and continually work to improve training, communication, and member-service skills
  • Represent Burn Boot Camp Marietta professionally in the gym, online, and in the community while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality
  • Follow Burn Boot Camp standards, gym policies, and applicable operating procedures and maintain all required certifications and continuing education
  • Trainer schedules may include early mornings, daytime camps, evenings, weekends, meetings, community events, and special programs based on gym needs
  • Specific measurable expectations, including camp volume, Focus Meeting participation, trial conversion, social media participation, and community engagement, may be established and updated separately by Burn Boot Camp Marietta and/or Burn Boot Camp
HQ. QUALIFICATIONS
  • Valid and acceptable Certified Personal Trainer certification or a degree in exercise science or a related field consistent with Burn Boot Camp requirements
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Ability to successfully complete Burn Boot Camp required Strength and Conditioning assessment/testing
  • Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, functional fitness, strength and conditioning, and body mechanics
  • Ability and desire to train and motivate members across a wide range of fitness levels and abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to coach multiple members simultaneously in a group-training environment
  • Ability to multi-task, remain organized, participate appropriately in social media and community engagement, and communicate in a positive and motivating manner
  • Dependable, professional, energetic, team-oriented, and receptive to feedback with a demonstrated commitment to personal and professional growth
