Job Description

Pilates & Group Fitness Instructor Qurated Pilates Marietta, GA Job Details Part-time | Contract Up to $55 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Exercise safety education Customer communication Small group instruction Individualized instructions Safety-focused fitness instruction Accommodations in instruction Teaching Full Job Description Position Overview Qurated Pilates is looking for passionate, knowledgeable, and community-minded Pilates and Group Fitness Instructors to join our founding team. We're creating an intimate, welcoming fitness experience designed to make movement more accessible for real life—including the many stages of motherhood. Our instructors should be able to meet members where they are, provide thoughtful modifications, and create classes that feel challenging, supportive, and approachable for a variety of fitness levels. This is a part-time position with opportunities for recurring weekly classes, substitute teaching, and additional classes as our studio grows. Experience working with prenatal and postpartum clients is a strong plus, particularly for instructors with an understanding of pelvic floor health, core recovery, and safe movement considerations throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period. Responsibilities Plan and lead safe, engaging, and thoughtfully structured Pilates and/or group fitness classes. Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and appropriate modifications for varying fitness levels and abilities. Create an inclusive environment where beginners and experienced participants feel comfortable and supported. Observe participants throughout class and provide form corrections and movement cues when appropriate. Understand when a movement should be modified or avoided based on a participant's individual needs or limitations. For instructors working with prenatal and postpartum participants, provide appropriate movement modifications within the instructor's training and scope of practice. Encourage participants to listen to their bodies and seek guidance from an appropriate healthcare professional when needs fall outside the instructor's scope. Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled classes. Set up and return studio equipment before and after class. Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment. Build relationships with members and contribute to the supportive community we're creating at Qurated Pilates. Communicate scheduling concerns, member concerns, equipment needs, or safety issues promptly. Participate in team meetings, training, and studio events when required. Represent Qurated Pilates professionally both inside and outside of the studio. Requirements Current Pilates and/or nationally recognized Group Fitness certification appropriate for the classes being taught. Strong understanding of proper movement mechanics, alignment, form, and exercise modifications. Ability to confidently lead and engage a small group class. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with participants across varying fitness levels and experience. Reliable, punctual, professional, and comfortable working independently. Passion for creating an encouraging and judgment-free fitness environment. Willingness to learn and follow Qurated Pilates class standards, safety procedures, and member experience expectations. Preferred Qualifications Prenatal and/or postnatal fitness certification or specialized training. Experience teaching pregnant and postpartum participants. Knowledge of pelvic floor function and pelvic-floor-aware movement. Understanding of core and pelvic floor considerations during pregnancy and postpartum recovery, including concepts such as pressure management, breathing mechanics, and appropriate exercise modification. Experience working with individuals returning to exercise after pregnancy. Experience teaching beginner-friendly or mixed-level classes. Training in multiple fitness formats. Previous boutique fitness or small-group training experience. What We're Looking For We want instructors who can challenge members without making movement feel intimidating. The ideal Qurated Pilates instructor is knowledgeable, warm, encouraging, attentive, and comfortable providing modifications rather than expecting every person in the room to move the same way. Because many of the families we serve may be navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery, or returning to movement after having children, instructors with prenatal/postnatal experience and an understanding of the pelvic floor are especially encouraged to apply. Most importantly, we're looking for instructors who want to help build a community where parents and families feel like wellness was designed with them in mind.
