Job Description

Part-Time Group Fitness Coach (1099) — 5-8 hrs/week Powertrain Fitness | Lilburn/Stone Mountain (Gwinnett County)

Location:

1960 Parker ct Suite H Stone Mountain We're looking for a high-energy, reliable coach who can lead small-group strength + HIIT/functional training sessions and help deliver an amazing member experience. This is a part-time, contractor (1099) role with consistent weekly shifts and optional 1-on-1 training opportunities. Schedule (must have availability one or both of these windows) Weekdays (Mon-Fri): availability 5am-7am and 10:00am-12:00pm

6:00pm on Mon / Wed /

Fri Total:

5-8 hours per week (typically 2-4 coaching shifts/week) Session format Classes are 45 minutes, plus setup + clean-up Total on-site time per shift is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes Pay (exact wording) Group Coaching Pay (1099): $30-$45 per session (each session is approx. 75 minutes total including setup/clean-up) Pay rate based on experience, coaching skill, and reliability. Optional 1-on-1

Training:

Opportunities available depending on schedule and demand Compensation discussed during interview (revenue share model) Insurance required (1099) Must carry personal trainer liability insurance (general + professional liability) and provide proof before coaching. Many coaches already have coverage; if not, it's typically a modest annual investment (often around a few hundred dollars per year depending on provider and coverage). Preferred CPT, Group Fitness, or related certification CPR/AED (or willingness to obtain quickly) Experience coaching group strength/HIIT style classes What you'll do Coach safe, effective, high-energy group sessions (strength + functional conditioning) Coach women of varying fitness levels with confidence and great cueing Arrive early to set up, stay after to clean and reset Create a welcoming, motivating environment (members should feel seen and coached) Communicate clearly with the team and follow training standards Must be comfortable coaching strength training (squats/hinges/push/pull) and giving form corrections Bonus income opportunity (Challenges + Nutrition Workshops) We run internal member challenges (often free to join) to drive retention, accountability, and community. These challenges typically include a simple nutrition meeting/workshop where members can learn nutrition basics and (optionally) be introduced to supplements.

Challenge Lead Pay:

$200 per 4-week challenge $5 per nutrition meeting attendee (This is an add-on opportunity, paid separately, so you can earn beyond coaching sessions.) Simple audition process (paid demo class) Step 1 Quick phone/Zoom chat (10-15 min): confirm availability and experience. Step 2 Paid demo coaching audition (30-45 min): coach warm-up + training block so we can evaluate energy, coaching cues/safety, flow, and culture fit. If it's a fit, we'll offer coaching shifts immediately.
