Job Description

Job Overview The Fitness Life is seeking an encouraging, dependable Certified Personal Trainer to join our team as an employee. We are opening a new 24-hour, adult-only strength gym in South Meridian before the end of 2026. Our gym is designed for everyday adults who want to become stronger, healthier, and more confident without feeling intimidated or judged. The right trainer will meet clients where they are, provide knowledgeable and personalized coaching, and help them make sustainable progress without relying on extremes or quick fixes. Responsibilities Lead safe, effective, and engaging personal training sessions Design individualized workout programs based on each client's goals, experience, abilities, and limitations Teach proper exercise technique and provide appropriate modifications Track client progress and adjust programming as needed Help clients build confidence, consistency, and sustainable exercise habits Communicate professionally and provide an encouraging, judgment-free coaching experience Maintain accurate client notes, workout programs, and session records Keep training areas and equipment clean and organized Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and professional standards Support client retention and contribute to a positive gym community Participate in consultations and help prospective clients understand available coaching services Qualifications Current personal training certification from a nationally recognized organization such as ACE, NASM, ACSM, NSCA, or ISSA Current CPR/AED certification Strong understanding of exercise programming, anatomy, safe movement, and proper exercise technique Ability to work with adults of different ages, abilities, experience levels, and body types Excellent communication, coaching, and customer-service skills Dependable, professional, organized, and willing to work as part of a team Comfortable using coaching software to deliver workouts and document client progress Previous personal training experience is preferred, but we are open to the right newer trainer An existing client base is not required About The Fitness Life The Fitness Life has served the Boise and Meridian community for more than 10 years.
