QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to conduct safe and effective exercise classes as well as assist individuals in the development of a safe and effective exercise program. Must be a nationally certified instructor in group fitness. Knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, strength training and cardiovascular exercise necessary to ensure the safety of all members and patrons. First aid and CPR certified. DUTIES Under the direction of the Fox Fitness Group Exercise Supervisor, the group exercise instructor will have the responsibility to lead group fitness classes. The individual will also assist with the maintenance of equipment and communicate needs and safety concerns to their Supervisor, assisting in the planning and implementation of group exercise special events; offer useful, tactful and safe advice to individuals regarding their exercise program and/or use of equipment, inform facility users of various programs and enforce all Fox Valley Park District and fitness center policies at all times.
