Job Description
The Warming Center Aide is responsible for providing daily operational support during assigned overnight shifts of the city's temporary warming center located at 712 S. River St. for individuals experiencing homelessness. The Warming Center Aide will assist center staff, volunteers, and contractors while coordinating tasks which includes intake, food distribution, and other tasks as assigned. This position will report directly the Warming Center Lead. Duties of this position include but are not limited: Assist in the daily operations of the warming center such as intake, food distribution, and other tasks as assigned under the director of the Warming Center Lead; Assist the Warming Center Lead in intake, admissions, and exit process; Coordinate with law enforcement, EMS, and emergency responders when necessary; Maintain a safe and sanitary facility which includes reporting any issues identified to the Warming Center Lead; Other related duties as assigned. This position requires a high school diploma or GED. This position also requires one (1) year of experience in homeless services, social services, emergency shelter operations, or related human services. This is a part-time, temporary position position with the expectation to work approximately 4
- 30 hours per week between November 1, 2026 until March 31, 2027. The available shifts are 6:00 PM
- 11:00 PM, 11:00 PM
- 3:00 AM, and 3:00 AM
- 8:00 AM.
