Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and passionate Yoga Instructor to inspire and guide individuals on their journey to improved health, flexibility, and mindfulness. In this role, you will lead engaging yoga classes tailored to diverse skill levels, promote a positive and motivating environment, and support clients in achieving their wellness goals. Your expertise will help foster a community centered around physical fitness, mental clarity, and overall well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through movement and mindfulness. Responsibilities Lead group yoga classes that incorporate various styles such as Hatha, Vinyasa, or restorative yoga, ensuring safety and proper technique. Demonstrate yoga poses and breathing exercises clearly while providing modifications for different skill levels. Develop customized class routines and programs that align with clients' fitness levels and health needs. Monitor participants' form and technique during sessions to prevent injury and maximize benefits. Provide guidance on body mechanics, biomechanics, anatomy, physiology, and the principles of physical fitness training. Foster a welcoming environment that motivates clients to stay committed to their wellness journey. Maintain safety standards by being certified in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation (Automated External Defibrillator), and manual handling procedures. Qualifications Certification in Yoga instruction from a recognized organization; additional certifications in Pilates instruction or other group fitness disciplines are a plus. Proven experience teaching yoga classes within a health club or fitness industry setting. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, body mechanics, and sports coaching principles relevant to yoga practice. Strong communication skills with the ability to instruct exercise routines clearly and motivate participants effectively. Familiarity with group fitness class management, program design, and coaching techniques. Experience with fitness customer service and client communication to ensure positive engagement. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment setup or class arrangements; physically fit to demonstrate exercises confidently.
