Job Summary As a Basecamp Fitness Coach, you'll guide members and guests through our pre-designed, interval-based 35-minute workouts. Coaches lead with energy, connect with members, manage class flow, and ensure proper exercise form and safety. Benefits & Perks Competitive pay with growth opportunities Flexible scheduling Free Basecamp membership Workouts, programming, and music mixes provided Fitness-casual dress code Positive, energizing team atmosphere Key Responsibilities Deliver a high-energy, premium workout experience that keeps members coming back Clearly explain Basecamp's training program and the science behind the workout Support both first-time guests and veteran members by building rapport before, during, and after class Manage class intensity and flow with confidence and clear communication Quickly identify and correct exercise form; provide modifications, regressions, and progressions Partner with the front desk for seamless guest handoffs and exceptional first-time experiences Make professional recommendations based on a guest's fitness background and goals Maintain a clean studio environment, including resetting bikes, mats, and equipment Attend team meetings, trainings, and continuing education sessions Required Skills & Traits Ability to build immediate rapport; friendly, approachable, people-focused Strong motivator with high energy and on-mic leadership presence Solid understanding of exercise technique and coaching fundamentals Able to clearly communicate over a microphone to a full class Comfortable coaching all fitness levels and a variety of goals Punctual, detail-oriented, and able to lead a full class independently Team-focused mindset; thrives in a collaborative, feedback-driven environment Excellent customer service and communication skills Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Current nationally recognized fitness certification (NCCA-accredited): ACE, NASM, ACSM, AFAA, NSCA, ISSA, etc. Current CPR/AED certification
Required:
successful completion of the Basecamp Fitness Coaches Course & audition process
Experience:
at least 6 months leading group fitness or 1:1 training; on-mic experience preferred Physical Requirements Ability to speak, cue, and demonstrate exercises while on your feet for the entire class Must be able to safely lift, move, and demonstrate use of all studio equipment (dumbbells, kettlebells, TRX, barbells, medicine balls, plyo boxes, bands, etc.) Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and racking weights Must be available to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays Reporting Structure This position reports directly to the Fitness Manager.
