Job Description

The group exercise instructors goal is to provide world class group exercise experiences that are safe, effective and exceed the members expectations. The group exercise instructor is a vital connection to our members and plays a key role in the companys brand promise of Making People Feel Comfortable and our core purpose of Changing Peoples Lives. The groups exercise instructor is part of the Brick Bodies team and is under the supervision of the Group Exercise Director.
DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN RELATIONSHIPS WITH
Group Exercise Director Brick Bodies Members General Manager Group Exercise Instructors All club associates (MCs, PTs, Service Desk, Little Bricks, etc.) Chief Strategy Office
EXPECTED OUTCOMES
Deliver world class group exercise experiences every class that are safe, effective and motivational Assist in the education of members about safe, effective exercise techniques Achieve agreed upon class attendance targets for each scheduled class Full responsibility for the teaching all assigned group exercise classes Arrive to teach all classes a minimum of 10 minutes in advance of the class start time Begin and end all classes on time as scheduled Be prepared for all scheduled classes Teach the class format that is scheduled Full responsibility of coverage for any classes that require substitution Download and utilize the Group Ex Pro App which includes: Entering class attendance for all scheduled classes immediately after the class is completed Utilizing the substitution process within the app for all required substitutions Reading & actioning when necessary all posted notices & communications Attend semi-annual Group Exercise Team Meetings Maintain certifications and continuing education for all actively taught programs; inclusive of

Role model the Brick Bodies Core Values Live the Brand Be Tenacious Be a Team Player Represent the Brick Bodies brand positively in all classes, internal/external events and any personal marketing tactics promoting Brick Bodies classes/programs (social media, etc.) Assist in promotion of club events and activities read the announcements at the end of each class Be a supportive, responsible and respectful Brick Bodies Team Member you are a representative of the brand!

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Previous group exercise teaching experience is preferred, but not required. Current group fitness instructor or personal training certification from a nationally accredited organization such as ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM, AAAI, etc. If you currently hold a certificate of completion from Les Mills, Zumba or Spinning, etc. you have three months to obtain your nationally accredited certification If you are new to the industry and do not have a current certification, you have six months to obtain your nationally accredited certification upon employment Current CPR, First Aid and AED certification. Strong leadership and coaching skills Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship building skills
