Group Fitness Job Description :
Responsible for teaching Aqua Group Fitness classes of varying formats. Must comply with stipulations set by American Arthritis Foundations and generally accepted aquatic standards and guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Develop safe and effective aquatic exercise classes for groups of various fitness levels. Responsible for instructing all aquatic fitness participants, and giving appropriate options and modifications. Plan routines, select music, and choose appropriate movements for well balanced, whole body workouts. Provide safe and effective instruction of equipment used during class. Maintain the safety of aquatic class participants. Maintain and record participant information and data. Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency. Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service. Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
Certifications/Requirements :
Must hold current aquatic certification from recognized and accredited board or organization, or willing to obtain certification. Must have current CPR/AED certification.
Hours :
Varied, including evenings and weekends.
