Company Overview Liberty Athletic Club has been a cornerstone of fitness and recreation in the community for over 50 years. Spanning 110,000 square feet on 12 acres, our facility offers top-tier cardio and strength training areas, multiple tennis courts, swimming pools, and a full-service spa, making us one of Ann Arbor's largest and most comprehensive athletic club. Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Group Fit Bootcamp/Power Strength Instructor to lead dynamic group fitness classes that inspire members to achieve their fitness goals. This paid role is perfect for passionate fitness professionals eager to deliver engaging workouts, motivate participants, and contribute to a vibrant fitness community. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in strength training, cardio conditioning, and group coaching, with a focus on safety and effective program delivery. Duties Lead high-energy bootcamp and power strength classes that incorporate elements of body mechanics, biomechanics, and functional training techniques Design and demonstrate varied exercise routines tailored to different fitness levels, emphasizing proper form and safety Motivate participants through positive coaching, clear communication, and personalized encouragement Ensure all exercises are performed safely by applying manual handling techniques and maintaining awareness of individual capabilities Incorporate specialized skills such as kickboxing, cycling, yoga, Pilates, or dancing to diversify class offerings when appropriate Monitor class participants' progress and provide modifications or guidance as needed Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols including CPR/AED certification requirements Skills Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics relevant to group fitness instruction Proven experience in leading group fitness classes with a focus on strength training, cardio conditioning, or functional movement Strong background in coaching diverse populations with motivational fitness coaching techniques Ability to demonstrate exercises effectively while ensuring participant safety through proper technique and manual handling skills Certifications in CPR/AED required; additional certifications such as yoga instruction, Pilates instruction, CrossFit coaching or sports coaching are highly desirable Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate participants of all fitness levels Familiarity with gym equipment operation including heavy lifting techniques and cycling or spinning bikes. Demonstrate experience of leading safe and effective bootcamp, strength and circuit classes Ability to coach participants at different levels Confident use of equipment such as dumbbell's, Bosus, resistance bands etc Ability to demonstrate exercises and give verbal cues and correct safe form Energetic, dependable and motivating personality who can work with groups in a positive and inclusive manner Join our team to inspire others through energetic leadership while advancing your career in the thriving fitness industry. Pay:
$26.30 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 2.0 per week
