The ideal candidate will be positive, driven, and willing to learn. The trainer will be working alongside a team of other trainers and the ability to work well with others is very important. Retrofit Studio is looking for a trainer who has good time-management skills and who is self-directed; independent management of your schedule and timeliness are extremely important. Responsibilities & Qualifications Provide private or group training Independent management of a schedule and adherence to timeliness Must have a valid personal training certification or Bachelor's in Exercise Science or related field Prefer one year of experience providing personal training or group fitness instruction Must have a valid CPR/AED certification through the Red Cross or American Heart Association Have the ability to be self-directed and organized with good time management skills The ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and respectfully with others Must be a team player and willing to work cooperatively alongside other trainers Must be open to learning and to accepting feedback The ability to create and maintain long-term relationships with clients Passionate about fitness and helping others lead a healthy lifestyle Dedicated and driven to succeed in their career The ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgement. Strong attention to detail Trustworthy Schedule This is not a typical "9 to 5" type of job. Trainers are able to manage their own schedule and can generally work their preferred hours. There is no set schedule and the hours worked typically depends on client schedules. Compensation $40 - $46/hour with the ability to grow your clientele in order to be as busy as you would like to be.
