Aquatic Exercise Instructor City of Greenville, NC - 4.0 Greenville, NC Job Details Part-time $20 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Exercise safety education CPR Certification Instructional modifications Certified Group Exercise Instructor Maintaining an organized workspace Mid-level Emergency procedures Working with seniors First Aid Certification Older adults Safety-focused fitness instruction Safe environment creation Adapted physical activity Certified Fitness Instructor Teaching AED Certification Full Job Description Job Summary The City of Greenville's Recreation and Parks department is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and dependable Water Aerobics Instructor to lead safe, engaging, and effective aquatic fitness classes at the Greenville Aquatic and Fitness Center. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming and supportive environment while providing clear instruction, motivating participants, and promoting overall health and wellness. The instructor will work with participants of varying ages and fitness levels, adapting exercises as needed to help participants achieve their fitness and wellness goals.

18 years old, at the time of application
Schedule:
Must be available Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM-11:30
AM Requirements:
Prior experience teaching aquatic fitness classes is preferred. Water Fitness Association certification and/or Group Fitness certification preferred. CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred; applicants who are not currently certified must be able to obtain certification within 60 days of hire. Experience working with older adults or senior populations is strongly preferred. This is continuous posting and may close at time. Examples of Duties plan and lead water aerobics and aquatic fitness classes; demonstrate exercises and provide clear, easy-to-follow instructions; modify exercises to accommodate different fitness levels and abilities; maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive class environment; monitor participants and follow all facility safety and emergency procedures; provide encouragement and motivation throughout each class; maintain a professional and friendly relationship with participants; keep class equipment organized and report any safety or maintenance concerns; arrive prepared and on time for scheduled classes; and perform other duties as assigned.
