This role is key in motivating members, fostering a positive fitness environment, and supporting the Health & Wellness team in delivering safe and effective programming. The ideal candidate will bring experience teaching group fitness classes and hold a nationally recognized Group Exercise certification (or be willing to obtain one).

Responsibilities:

Lead dynamic group exercise classes for all fitness levels, ensuring safety and engagement Motivate participants and foster a welcoming, inclusive class environment Maintain effective, positive relationships with members and fellow staff Follow YMCA safety policies, procedures, and guidelines during classes Assist with set-up, equipment checks, and cleanliness of the studio and equipment Support program development and implement new class offerings as needed

Position Specifics:

Part-time schedule dependent upon candidate availability Preferred availability for weekday and/or weekend classes, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings Pay starting at $17/hour, commensurate with experience
