Personal Trainers at the River Valley Club are the heartbeat of everything we do. Personal Trainers provide an unparalleled level of fitness training and customer service which will enhance the growth and success of the client's fitness and personal goals. Personal Trainers create and improve the physical wellness of clients at the Club by making each and every training session the best hour of each client's day.
Overview of General Responsibilities:
The Personal Trainer plays a pivotal role in elevating the growth and success of RVC training programs and clients. By delivering a professional standard of personal training, you will contribute to enhancing the physical wellness of RVC's clients and members. Your goal is to make each training session the highlight of every client's day.

Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Align with RVC's Core Values and consistently uphold them in daily actions and interactions. Maintain current and approved personal training and safety certifications. Pursue ongoing education to enhance professional skills, ensuring exceptional service to clients. Safely assess, design, and implement fitness programs, catering to individual or group training needs. Independently track and document individual clients' progress with accuracy. Complete all required paperwork, submit payroll promptly, and manage client session records efficiently. Demonstrate confidence in program offerings and possess effective sales skills to communicate the value of personal training to clients and members. Strive to achieve individual and team hourly and revenue goals. Collaborate as a team player, contributing to the fitness department's commitment to providing quality services. Attend mandatory meetings and adhere to RVC uniform policy. Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the RVC Employee and Trainer's Handbook.
Additionally:
This role may involve assisting in other areas of RVC as needed, requiring a cooperative approach to working within a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
Current certifications in CPR and AED training; significant experience in one-on-one client training. Current certifications in personal training from nationally accredited organizations: ACSM, NASM, NSCA, CHEK, ACE, or other approved certifications. Personal Qualities and Expectations (including special demands): Self-motivation, consistency, and professionalism. Passion for educating clients in health and fitness. Self-confidence in professional capabilities with a commitment to continuous success. Embody a fit and healthy lifestyle, serving as a role model for clients.
Skills Required:
Leadership and effective communication skills. Proficiency in exercise programming. Strong organizational and computer skills. Sales skills to promote the value of personal training.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The role involves a combination of standing, sitting, walking, lifting, bending, and other physical activities. The ability to lift and carry 50 pounds is required. The work environment is within a fitness facility, with loud noise levels.
