Job Description
The Katz JCC is seeking an energetic and passionate Barre Instructor to lead engaging, safe, and effective Barre fitness classes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance, Pilates or fitness instruction, and a keen understanding of proper form, alignment, and modifications for various fitness levels. Responsibilities include instruction, and fostering a supportive and motivating environment. Certification in Barre or a related fitness discipline is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
In conjunction with the Group Fitness Supervisor, maintain a safe, comfortable atmosphere in all the Barre exercise studios for members and guests. Reports on unclean conditions, safety hazards and malfunctioning equipment.
Maintain records and statistics with respect to the Barre classes, to ensure rosters and class attendance are current and accurate via our Mind Body CRM.Assist in the creation and implementation of marketing strategies for current and new Barre classes and special events. Outreach to the community and share marketing resources.
Maintain required certifications for CPR, AED, and Barre Instructor certifications and attend local conferences/workshops where applicable.
As a professional representative of the agency, maintain proper relationships with public and private agencies for the purpose of developing inter-agency programs.
In conjunction with Group Fitness Supervisor, help to develop new innovative Barre classes and special events.
Coordinate Barre staff meetings/trainings and development.
Recruit, train, and schedule new certified instructors for various Barre classes in the programMaintain ongoing communication with members and participants in Barre studios-high level of customer service via our Mindbody CRM System.
Understand and be able to administer emergency procedures (fire alarm, evacuations, injuries, etc.)Maintain a high level of professionalism as JCC Fitness Staff Personnel.
When able, instruct a minimum of 3 Barre classes per week and provide substitute instructors when needed.
Assist the Group Fitness Supervisor with monthly Barre class scheduleAdditional responsibilities may be added periodically based upon the needs of the Fitness and Wellness department of the Katz JCC.

This position will help develop and oversee all aspects of the Barre classes at the Katz JCC. Assist with on-going promotion of the classes ensuring the maximum quality of the program.Job Responsibilities:

Required Licenses/ Certificates/Registrations:
Must hold a National Barre Instructor Certification and at least one other specialty Barre Certification (Core Barre, Spin, Zumba, Yoga) with at least 3 years experience teaching Barre classes.First Aid/CPR/AED CertifiedRequired Education & Experience:
