Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Kids Group Fitness Instructor to inspire children through engaging, safe, and fun fitness programs. In this role, you will lead dynamic group exercise classes tailored specifically for kids, fostering a love for physical activity while promoting healthy habits. Your enthusiasm and expertise will motivate young participants to develop their strength, coordination, and confidence in a supportive environment. Responsibilities Design and deliver age-appropriate group fitness classes for children, incorporating elements of dance, yoga, Pilates, and other fun activities. Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and ensure children understand correct body mechanics to prevent injury. Motivate and engage young participants through energetic coaching, positive reinforcement, and creative routines. Maintain a safe environment by monitoring participants closely, applying manual handling techniques when necessary, and adhering to safety protocols such as CPR and AED operation. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding class progress and individual needs. Adapt programs based on age groups, fitness levels, and special requirements to ensure inclusivity and enjoyment. Keep detailed records of attendance, progress, and safety incidents to support ongoing program improvement. Requirements Proven experience in group fitness instruction, sports coaching, or teaching exercise routines to children or youth populations. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, body mechanics, and health club safety standards. Certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, first aid, and manual handling are required. Demonstrated ability to design engaging fitness programs that incorporate elements of Pilates, yoga, dancing, CrossFit-style exercises or similar disciplines suited for kids. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate children while maintaining clear safety instructions. Physical fitness training background with experience in heavy lifting or gym-based activities is advantageous. Passion for health promotion with a creative approach to teaching exercise routines that are fun yet effective. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or after-school hours as needed. $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
