Group Fitness Instructor 301 North Harrison Street, Princeton, NJ 08540 $50 an hour - Part-time $50 an hour - Part-time Alpha Fit Club (AFC)
COACH PREREQUISITES
Coaches at Alpha Fit Club should maintain an active personal training certification from a major certifying body. Coaches who hold an undergraduate or advanced degree in kinesiology, physical education, exercise science, or a similar comparable degree will also have the physiological expertise needed to deliver the exceptional AFC experience in class. Specialty certifications, such as Pilates certifications, run coaching certifications, nutrition certifications, etc. are markers of fantastic qualities that will help build a more comprehensive, effective training environment at AFC, but they are not enough to replace one of the active personal training certifications listed above. All trainers will also need to hold an active
CPR & AED
certification any time they are on the schedule. Apart from certifications, AFC coaches should be able to deliver a high-quality, consistent, energetic, community oriented, physically precise, and engaging class to all members who might walk through your door. The quality of someone's social interactions and energy levels are just as important as their expertise about the body. An AFC Coach Must be
Someone Who:
Actively engages with members and assists in the growth of the AFC community Consistently executes and delivers high energy, positivity-filled classes Knows how to be a team player, as well as a great teammate Is passionate about helping others and willing to put in the work to do so Displays excellent customer service skills on and off of the turf
Job Responsibilities:
Coach a specific number of high energy classes weekly as agreed upon by employer Provide modifications for members who may present with any and all injuries/restrictions Prepare high energy playlists that consistently coincide with the style of classes at Alpha Fit Club (AFC) Present yourself with confidence on the microphone, while simultaneously maintaining a strong presence on the turf Ensure that AFC attire is worn at all times on shift Collaborate with the Operations team to deliver the best member experience, while assisting in the sales of new memberships Help retain memberships and ensure continued growth of the AFC community by abiding by the five-star experience checklist Attend monthly staff meetings, workshops, brand-wide coach trainings and community events hosted by AFC Maintain a strong, active social media presence Lead by example as a brand ambassador and leader of the community Follow all AFC Coach protocols and procedures at all times Attend AFC Workshops and trainings
Skills/Attributes Needed :
A thorough understanding and basic foundation of knowledge in regards to the human body Knowledge of specific high level pieces of equipment including but not limited to: Ski Ergs, Row Ergs, Assault Bike, Technogym SkillMills, Technogym Kinesis Cable Machines, KB's, DB's, Landmines, Barbells, Sleds, etc… The ability to command the room with utilization of a mic Maintain professionalism at all times, inside and outside of the studio, as well as online Be confident, organized, and personable with all members, coworkers, and leaders
