Pilates Instructor Job Description The Pilates Instructor is responsible for providing safe, effective, and engaging Pilates instruction to club members through private sessions, semi-private training, and group classes. This position promotes wellness, fitness, and member satisfaction while delivering exceptional service aligned with the club's standards of excellence. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conduct Pilates reformer, mat, and/or equipment-based instruction for members of varying fitness levels. Develop individualized exercise programs based on members' goals, abilities, and health considerations. Provide one-on-one, duet, and small-group Pilates training sessions. Monitor participant safety and exercise technique during all sessions. Maintain accurate records of client progress and attendance. Educate members on proper body mechanics, posture, flexibility, strength, and injury prevention. Maintain Pilates equipment and report repair or maintenance needs promptly. Assist in promoting Pilates programs, workshops, and wellness initiatives. Foster strong member relationships through professional, personalized service. Collaborate with fitness, wellness, and club management teams to enhance member engagement. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Pilates studio environment. Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and continuing education. Qualifications Current Pilates certification from a nationally recognized organization (Balanced Body, STOTT, Peak Pilates, Polestar, or equivalent). CPR/AED and First Aid certification required. Minimum one year of Pilates teaching experience preferred. Experience with reformer equipment strongly preferred. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to demonstrate Pilates exercises and equipment techniques. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to assist members with equipment setup and adjustments.
