Job Overview Reform Society is a boutique Pilates studio in Carle Place, NY, offering elevated, strength-based reformer Pilates in a welcoming, energetic, and inclusive small-group environment. We are looking for a confident, positive, and engaging Certified Pilates Reformer Instructor to join our growing team. Our classes combine Pilates principles with modern, dynamic programming designed to build strength, improve mobility, and help our members feel stronger and more confident in their bodies. Just as important as teaching ability is the energy you bring into the studio. Reform Society is built around creating a positive, supportive, and body-positive environment where clients of different ages, body types, fitness levels, and Pilates experience feel comfortable and welcomed. We want instructors who genuinely enjoy connecting with their members, building relationships, encouraging progress, and contributing to a healthy and uplifting studio culture. The ideal instructor is knowledgeable, dependable, comfortable commanding a room, and able to deliver a class that is both challenging and approachable. We encourage our instructors to bring their own personality and teaching style while maintaining the quality and experience our members expect from Reform Society. Weekend availability is required for this position. Additional weekday and evening availability is a plus. Responsibilities Lead safe, engaging, and thoughtfully programmed group reformer Pilates classes Demonstrate exercises and provide clear verbal instruction, form corrections, and modifications when needed Create effective class programming incorporating strength, mobility, control, and proper Pilates technique Appropriately challenge clients while maintaining proper form, alignment, and control Confidently work with clients of varying experience levels, abilities, ages, and body types Create a welcoming and encouraging class environment where members feel supported rather than intimidated Take the time to connect with members and contribute to the sense of community within the studio Arrive prepared, professional, and on time for all scheduled classes Properly set up, reset, and care for reformer equipment before and after classes Contribute positively to the Reform Society team and overall studio environment Qualifications Current Pilates Reformer certification from a recognized training program 2+ years of reformer Pilates teaching experience preferred Strong knowledge of anatomy, alignment, body mechanics, and safe movement principles Ability to confidently lead and manage a small-group class Strong communication skills and an engaging teaching presence Ability to provide appropriate modifications for different fitness and experience levels Positive, professional, dependable, and team-oriented Genuine interest in building relationships with clients and being part of a studio community CPR/AED certification preferred Weekend availability required About Reform Society Reform Society is an independently owned boutique Pilates studio built around the idea that movement should be challenging, empowering, and accessible without feeling intimidating.
