Job Description

As a Personal Trainer at Savage Laboratories, you will lead 1-on-1 and small-group training sessions, conduct comprehensive fitness assessments, and design goal-oriented programming using science-backed movement principles. This role is ideal for a trainer who understands movement mechanics, thrives in a high-energy functional fitness environment, and possesses a strong drive to build client relationships and grow as a fitness professional.
Key Responsibilities Client Assessment & Onboarding:
Conduct movement screenings, body composition analyses, and goal-setting consultations for incoming members.
Program Design:
Create safe, individualized, and progressive training programs tailored to client goals, athletic background, and injury history. 1-on-1 &
Small Group Coaching:
Execute high-energy coaching sessions focusing on proper lifting mechanics, safety, motivation, and athletic progression.
Client Retention & Account Management:
Provide ongoing accountability, regular assessments, and check-ins to ensure client progress and high long-term retention.
Facility Excellence:
Assist in maintaining clean, organized, and high-functioning gym equipment and floor space.
Business Development:
Participate in gym events, community outreach, and lead generation to build and maintain your client roster.
Qualifications & Requirements Certification:
Active
NASM-CPT
(or equivalent accredited certification; NASM preferred).
CPR/AED Certification:
Active CPR/AED credential required.
Fitness Background:
Hands-on experience or strong background in functional fitness, strength & conditioning, and movement mechanics.
Communication Skills:
Exceptional interpersonal, listening, and coaching skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Business Mindset:
Self-motivated, punctual, and organized with a desire to learn the business and financial aspects of building a sustainable training career.
