Join the Dynamic Fitness Team at Merion Cricket Club Merion Cricket Club, located in beautiful Haverford, Pennsylvania, is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Yoga Instructor to join our Fitness Center team. Established in 1865, Merion Cricket Club offers a unique blend of tradition and modern amenities. Our recently renovated campus features a state-of-the-art fitness center, resort-style heated pool, paddle hut with a cozy fireplace and bar, and expanded tennis and pickleball facilities. Our welcoming environment, exceptional amenities, and engaged membership create a rewarding atmosphere for fitness professionals. We are looking for an energetic instructor who is passionate about helping members improve their strength, flexibility, mobility, balance, and overall well-being. Experience teaching multiple yoga formats is a plus. Key Responsibilities Lead engaging, safe, and thoughtfully designed yoga classes for participants of all ages, abilities, and experience levels. Create a welcoming, inclusive, and positive class environment. Begin and end all classes promptly and maintain a professional standard of instruction. Teach regularly scheduled classes and provide substitute coverage when needed. Communicate effectively with the Fitness Manager regarding member feedback, scheduling, equipment, class needs, and operational matters. Follow all Group Exercise policies, procedures, and safety standards. Demonstrate proper and safe exercise techniques. Maintain a professional, energetic, and positive presence. Build strong professional relationships with members and contribute to a positive member experience. Qualifications Current certification from an accredited organization to teach yoga or group fitness classes. At least 6 months of yoga instruction experience preferred . Current CPR/AED certification is a plus. Strong knowledge of yoga, fitness principles, exercise safety, and program design. Specialty yoga certifications are preferred. Previous group exercise or program design experience is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Energetic, enthusiastic, dependable, and motivational personality. Ability to establish positive relationships with members. Reliable access to email and telephone communication. Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and/or weekends as needed.
