Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Group Fitness Instructor to lead engaging fitness classes on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in the fitness industry, possess a group fitness certification, and demonstrate strong communication and motivational skills. This role involves instructing clients in dynamic group exercise routines, fostering a positive environment, and helping participants achieve their fitness goals. The position offers flexibility with 1-2 classes per week, primarily scheduled in the mornings around 9 am during weekdays, with potential for additional classes based on availability. Duties Lead and instruct group fitness classes such as core and glutes workouts, martial arts for beginners, or bootcamp/circuit training using available equipment in the fitness room. Deliver clear, safe, and effective exercise routines tailored to diverse participant needs. Communicate effectively with clients to provide guidance, encouragement, and motivation throughout each class. Maintain a high level of customer service by creating an inclusive and motivating environment for all participants. Prepare class plans and demonstrate proper exercise techniques to ensure safety and maximize results. If selected for the next round of applications, provide a video demonstration of teaching or a detailed description of your class to showcase your instructional style. Qualifications Valid group fitness certification from an accredited organization. Proven experience teaching exercise routines within the fitness industry. Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage participants. Knowledge of fitness principles related to core, glutes, martial arts for beginners, or circuit training with equipment is preferred. Availability for morning classes around 9 am during weekdays; flexibility for additional classes is a plus. Passion for promoting health and wellness through energetic and inspiring instruction. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for fitness professionals to share their expertise while helping others achieve their health goals in a supportive environment. Instructors get paid $25/class with additional commission from drop-ins.
