Kingdom FIT Harrisburg is looking for an energetic, dependable, and relationship-driven Certified Personal Trainer to join our growing team in Lemoyne, PA. We are specifically looking for a trainer who has weeknight availability and is comfortable working with both one-on-one personal training clients and group personal training sessions . The right person will be professional, punctual, personable, confident on the training floor, and capable of building relationships that keep clients engaged long term. What You'll Do As a Kingdom FIT Personal Trainer, you'll work directly with members to understand their goals, assess their current fitness level, and develop appropriate training programs. You'll coach clients through strength training, conditioning, functional movement, and other training methods based on their individual needs and abilities. You'll also have opportunities to coach our group personal training programs. We want someone who can walk into a room, take ownership of the session, communicate clearly, bring energy, and still provide individual attention to the people they're coaching.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting fitness assessments and goal-setting sessions with new and existing clients Designing safe, effective, and progressive individualized training programs Providing one-on-one and small-group personal training Coaching weeknight group personal training sessions Teaching proper exercise technique and making appropriate modifications for different fitness levels Tracking client attendance, progress, goals, and training results Adjusting programs as clients progress Building strong relationships that encourage client retention and consistency Communicating professionally with clients and Kingdom FIT staff Arriving on time and prepared for all scheduled sessions and classes Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional training environment Supporting Kingdom FIT events, challenges, programs, and community initiatives when appropriate Representing Kingdom FIT positively inside and outside the gym What We're Looking For We aren't only looking for someone who knows exercises. We want a coach . You should be comfortable working with beginners who may be nervous about entering a gym as well as experienced clients who want to become stronger, improve performance, or take their training to another level. Reliability is extremely important. Our members build their schedules around their training appointments, so punctuality, communication, and consistency are expected. You should also understand the importance of client retention. Getting someone through their first workout is only the beginning. Great trainers build trust, provide accountability, demonstrate progress, and give clients reasons to continue investing in themselves. Required Qualifications Current Personal Training Certification through a recognized organization such as NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent Current CPR/AED certification Minimum 6 months of personal training or fitness coaching experience Experience working with clients across different fitness levels Experience with one-on-one and/or small-group training Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional, dependable, and punctual Ability to demonstrate and coach proper exercise technique Ability to modify exercises appropriately for different abilities Comfortable tracking client progress and adjusting programs Weeknight availability for personal training and group training coverage Ability to contribute positively to a team and community-oriented gym environment Preferred Qualifications Additional experience is helpful but not required. We're especially interested in candidates who have experience with: Client retention and relationship building Strength and conditioning Functional fitness Small-group personal training Fitness assessments and goal setting Fitness tracking or client-management software Social media and fitness content creation Membership or personal training sales Boutique gyms or private training studios Working with beginner, intermediate, and advanced clients The Kind of Trainer Who Will Do Well Here Certifications matter, but they aren't everything.
