The Fitness Center Assistant is responsible for the implementation of planned resident activities and encourage resident participation. Planned activities should focus on improving the physical well-being of residents.
Qualifications:
Prior experience with aquatic therapy preferred Health/fitness center experience preferred Proven health/fitness assessment skills preferred Experience working with older adults preferred Previous healthcare experience preferred
Responsibilities and Expectations:
Assists with developing, planning and implementing a complete schedule of wellness activities; related to the pool, spa and fitness center. Instructs 1:1 or in a group setting, to use all fitness equipment. Verify receipt of physician clearance forms and maintain participant files. Collaborate with housekeeping team and maintenance team to ensure that the Fitness Center's cleanliness standards are maintained. Maintains a safe work environment and exhibits safe work practices. Interacts cooperatively with residents, families, visitors and other team members.
