Resident Fitness Coach — Temporary Full Time The Village at Penn State | State College, PA Are you passionate about fitness, wellness, and helping older adults live active, healthy lives? Join The Village at Penn State, one of the area's premier independent living communities, as our next Full-Time Resident Fitness Coach! In this rewarding role, you'll have the opportunity to build relationships with residents while creating engaging fitness and wellness experiences that support an active lifestyle. What You'll Do As a Resident Fitness Coach, you will help our Independent Living residents stay active, engaged, and motivated by: Planning, preparing, and leading group fitness classes for older adults Instructing and coordinating water fitness/aquatic exercise classes Assisting residents in the community fitness center Providing friendly, professional support and encouragement to residents Creating a welcoming and positive environment that promotes health, wellness, mobility, and physical activity Schedule Full Time Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Evenings as needed What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is energetic, dependable, organized, and enjoys working with older adults.
Qualifications include:
Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Strong interpersonal and communication skills A positive, encouraging approach to fitness and wellness Previous experience working with older adults is preferred Experience leading group fitness, senior fitness, aquatic exercise, or wellness programs is a plus Why This Opportunity?
