Duties Lead dynamic group yoga classes, demonstrating proper techniques and guiding participants through routines that suit various experience levels. Develop and adapt yoga programs that align with clients' goals, physical abilities, and health conditions. Provide clear instructions on breathing techniques, posture alignment, and body mechanics to ensure safety and effectiveness. Offer personalized coaching and modifications to accommodate injuries or special needs, ensuring an inclusive experience for all participants. Maintain a safe environment by monitoring class flow, managing equipment, and responding promptly to any participant concerns or emergencies. Educate clients on the benefits of yoga for physical health, mental clarity, and stress reduction while fostering motivation and engagement. Stay current with industry trends, certifications, and best practices in yoga instruction, anatomy knowledge, biomechanics, physiology knowledge, and fitness industry standards. Requirements Proven experience in teaching yoga classes with a strong understanding of body mechanics, anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics principles. Certification in Yoga instruction from an accredited organization; additional certifications such as Pilates instruction or group fitness are a plus. Knowledge of health club operations, client communication skills, and fitness customer service excellence. Ability to demonstrate exercises clearly while providing hands-on guidance when necessary; experience with demonstration and practice is essential. Physical fitness training background with the capacity for heavy lifting when setting up equipment or assisting clients. CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) certification required; first aid knowledge is highly desirable. Experience in coaching or teaching exercise routines within group fitness classes or sports coaching environments is preferred. Enthusiastic team player with strong coaching skills who can motivate clients of all ages and fitness levels to reach their goals.
