In this role, you will work directly alongside our licensed physical therapists to support our clinic's primary mission: helping senior adults stay active, regain confidence, prevent falls, and improve their overall quality of life. You will play a crucial role in providing hands-on treatment assistance, guiding patients through specialized balance and mobility protocols, and keeping our clinic safe, welcoming, and operating smoothly. Key Responsibilities Wellness & Exercise Class Lead safe, engaging, and encouraging wellness sessions for seniors Create a welcoming and positive environment for patients Adapt exercises for varying fitness and mobility levels Arrive on time and prepared for each session Maintain professionalism, consistency, and strong communication Classes may consist of strengthening, stretching/yoga, and chair exercises Patient Support & Care Assist PTs and PTAs guiding patients through prescribed exercises, balance training, and gait re-training Safely assist patients with transfers, positioning, walking, and utilizing safety equipment Prepare patients for therapy by explaining steps clearly, offering patient encouragement, and ensuring they feel secure, valued, and safe throughout their visits Clinic Operations & Sanitation Prepare equipment and machines prior to patient appointments, sanitizing equipment thoroughly after every session Maintain strict clinic cleanliness standards, ensuring treatment areas, walkways, and exercise spaces remain tidy and hazard-free Adhere to all safety guidelines, clinic policies, and patient privacy standards (HIPAA). Assist front desk or clinical staff with light operational tasks as needed Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Active fitness certification required (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent accredited certification) Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR/AED certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire) Previous experience working in a fitness facility, healthcare clinic, or physical therapy practice—especially with older adults or geriatric populations—is highly preferred Bilingual skills preferred but not required
