Job Description
Part-Time to Full-Time Trainer/Coach NextGen Athletics Kearns, UT Job Details Part-time $18 - $25 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Flexible schedule Referral program Qualifications Youth fitness Kinesiology Experience working with children CSCS Certification Teaching Full Job Description Train Athletes, Strengthen Adults, and Grow as a Coach Kearns, UT | $18-$25/hr | Weekday evenings, roughly 4:30-8:30 PM About Us NextGen Athletics trains youth athletes ages 8 to 18 to get faster, stronger, and more confident, and we're growing. We're hiring two part-time coaches to run our evening training groups. Programs are written by our founder, who's spent 13 years as a strength and conditioning coach working with everyone from pros to 8-year-olds, and 7 years as a physical therapist. Your job is to deliver those sessions with energy, keep kids safe and locked in, and make every family that walks in feel like they matter. You'll typically coach 2 to 3 evenings a week, running the floor solo, and we build the schedule. Most weeknights should work for you; one standing conflict is fine if we know about it up front. If you're a kinesiology or DPT student, a teacher, or an ex-athlete with a day job, these hours were built for you.
One language note:
most job boards call this a personal trainer. We say coach. Trainers run workouts. Coaches build athletes and people. If that distinction matters to you, then you might just be the coach we are looking for. What you'll do Run small-group training sessions off our programming: warm-ups, speed work, lifts, conditioning Coach technique so athletes move well and stay safe Bring the energy that makes a 7pm session the best part of a kid's day Know your athletes' names, their sports, and what other interests they have Talk with parents like a pro, because they're trusting you with their kids Where this can go The job starts part-time, delivering sessions.Everything past that gets earned:
coaches who prove it over time grow into writing programming, taking on more hours, and eventually leadership and full-time roles as we expand into adult morning training. We won't promise you a timeline. We'll promise the door is real, because the business is growing and we'd rather promote than hire. What's in it for you $18 to $25 an hour depending on certifications and experience Paid shadow weeks before you ever run a session alone Direct mentorship from a DPT and CSCS; including but not limited to shadowing, feedback, learning systems to teach speed/power/movement to athletes of varying ages Consistent evening hours that fit around school, teaching, or a day job What we're looking for You've coached, taught, or led kids in some setting, and loved it You can command a room of teenagers and have them love you for it You show up prepared, own your mistakes, and don't make excuses Most weekday evenings free, roughly 4:30 to 8:30 PM CSCS, NASM, ACE, or NSCA is a plus. So is a playing background. So is morning availability as our adult programs grow. None of them replaces energy. How to apply Email with your resume (including your phone number) and a 1-page cover letter. No more. If you love working with kids and want to become a legitimately great coach, this is an opportunity to learn from someone who knows what they're doing. Not just another place to punch the clock and run workouts. We're hiring two coaches and reviewing on a rolling basis, apply today.Pay:
