Water Aerobics Instructor Wave Aquatics - 2.7 Kirkland, WA Job Details Part-time $30 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications CPR Certification Customer communication First Aid Certification AED Certification Full Job Description The Water Aerobics Instructor is responsible for leading engaging, safe, and effective water exercise classes for community members. This role involves planning diverse fitness routines, ensuring the safety of all participants, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals of all fitness levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership:
Design and lead creative water aerobics classes that build endurance, strength, and flexibility. Modify exercises to accommodate participants of varying fitness levels and physical abilities. Maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm to motivate participants throughout the class.Safety and Operations:
Maintain constant supervision of the class and enforce facility safety rules consistently. Monitor pool equipment and ensure the pool deck remains safe and clean. Demonstrate proficiency in water rescue and emergency procedures as required. Greet patrons by name and provide excellent customer service before and after class.Qualifications:
Current certification in Water Aerobics or Group Fitness instruction (or willingness to obtain). Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to model professional behavior and represent Wave Aquatics values.Schedule:
Generally, will work a 1.5 hour shift up to 5 days a week. Anticipated work time is somewhere between 9am to 11:45am (shift start time to be mutually agreed upon). Addition hours may be available for swim instruction or lifeguarding shifts for qualified and interested candidates.Benefits
