In this role, you will design and lead group water fitness sessions that combine cardiovascular, strength, flexibility, and balance training. Your enthusiasm and expertise will motivate clients of all ages and fitness levels to enjoy the benefits of aquatic exercise in a safe, supportive environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on community health while honing your coaching skills. Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-energy water aerobics classes tailored to diverse age groups and fitness abilities, incorporating techniques such as Pilates, Yoga, CrossFit, and dance-inspired routines. Demonstrate proper exercise form, body mechanics, and breathing techniques to ensure participant safety and maximize effectiveness. Monitor participants during classes to provide personalized feedback, encouragement, and modifications as needed. Ensure all activities adhere to safety protocols, including first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and manual handling procedures. Maintain a clean, organized pool area; set up equipment; and manage class schedules efficiently. Foster a motivating environment by coaching with enthusiasm, supporting client communication efforts, and promoting ongoing participation. Stay current with industry trends in group fitness, biomechanics, physiology knowledge, and program design to continuously enhance class offerings. Experience Proven experience in fitness instruction within the health club or community recreation setting. Demonstrated expertise in group fitness classes such as Water Aerobics, Yoga, Pilates, or Dance-based workouts. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, body mechanics, biomechanics, and sports coaching principles relevant to aquatic exercise. Certification in CPR/AED is required; additional certifications in First Aid or Manual Handling are preferred. Familiarity with coaching techniques for personal training or fitness sales is advantageous. Experience with diverse fitness modalities including , Cycling, CrossFit, or Dancing enhances your versatility as an instructor. Ability to communicate effectively with clients of varying ages and fitness levels while maintaining high energy levels throughout classes.
