Duties Lead group fitness classes focused on water-based exercises (Aqua Fit) or senior-friendly workouts (Silver Sneakers), ensuring exercises are safe and accessible for all participants Demonstrate proper exercise techniques, emphasizing body mechanics, biomechanics, and physiology to maximize safety and effectiveness Design and adapt fitness programs to meet the needs of diverse groups, incorporating elements like yoga, Pilates, cycling, CrossFit, dancing, or sports coaching as appropriate Motivate participants through energetic coaching, positive reinforcement, and personalized feedback to enhance engagement and progress Ensure safety by monitoring participants' physical responses, practicing manual handling techniques, and maintaining awareness of health considerations such as anatomy knowledge and first aid procedures Maintain excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their progress, answering questions, and fostering a supportive community atmosphere Operate AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and perform CPR when necessary to ensure participant safety during all activities Qualifications Proven experience in group fitness instruction with certifications in CPR/AED and First Aid required; additional certifications in Yoga, Pilates, Cycling, or CrossFit highly preferred Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and body mechanics to guide safe exercise routines Demonstrated ability to teach exercise routines effectively across various formats including water fitness (Aqua Fit), yoga, Pilates, or sports coaching Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups and provide clear instructions Physical fitness training experience with the ability to perform heavy lifting and demonstrate exercises safely Prior experience working in health clubs or fitness environments is advantageous Passion for promoting health and wellness through engaging coaching methods that inspire clients to reach their goals Join us in making a positive impact on our community's health!
