Job Description

For established small business owners We are looking for an independent contractor to add to our gym in addition to taking on our evening classes (5pm M-TH, 4pm
M, W, TH
). This position is ideal for those who have at least 1-3 years of experience with a client base built up and wants to leave the corporate environment. This can be a physical therapist or personal trainer. You set your own hours, rate, etc. Rent is based off 20% commission (you keep 80%).
Simple business setup:
Set up your LLC, insurance and certification. Preferably an individual who has a 4-year degree in Exercise Science/related field. We are a private personal training studio on the west side of Madison. We have two primary services; Semi-Private group training and one-one training. Our customers are recreational athletes, aging adults and occasionally some youth. Our website can be seen at digmanfitness.com. The primary candidate attribute is 'the ability to get along with others'. Our business model is 'corrective exercise' to which our ability to come together as a team to generate results for our customers is rewarded. The gym specializes in movement, so there is a lot of open space in addition to basic strength training equipment (DB's, Cable Machine, Benches, Squat Racks, Strongman Equipment, Sleds, Sandbags, etc.) In the gym, on occasion we are required to lift, carry, push or pull various amounts of weight so minimal injury history may be a plus for this position. You set your own hours as you build your business, but I also need help in the evenings (4pm & 5pm classes M-TH) if possible. Our customer reviews include 1) punctuality, which I define as not just being at work, but being aware and engaged, 2) creativity and 3) attentiveness, which I view as identifying and completing the little things that help each individual customer. Again, if you are a goal-driven individual looking to build your own personal training/PT business, we would be happy to have you on our team.
