A Personal Trainer or Fitness Instructor develops customized exercise and fitness programs for clients. Reviews health and fitness goals, teaches correct and safe exercise technique, monitors progress and provides encouragement for clients. Leads fitness and exercise classes at a community center, club or pool. Teaches aerobics, water, strength building or other exercises and maintains equipment.

As a Group Exercise Instructor , you will inspire and motivate members and community participants through safe, engaging, and high-energy fitness classes. By creating a supportive and inclusive environment, you'll help individuals build healthy habits, reach their wellness goals, and connect with others. Your enthusiasm and leadership will foster a strong sense of community while empowering participants to become their healthiest selves .
Schedule:
Early AM, Wednesday PM, Weekends No Holidays Regular subbing opportunities available
Position Responsibilities:
Provide class routines and music according to ACE, AFFA, specific class certifying bodies and Y guidelines. Lead energizing, fun and safe aqua group exercise classes Willingness to sub and participate in special class events Maintain all required certifications
Certification Requirements:
Group Exercise or Personal Trainer Certification:
AFFA, ACE, ACSM, NASM, SCW, LES
MILLS, YMCA or another accredited cert. CPR, AED, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Hazard Communication certifications must be obtained within the first 90 days.
Position Qualifications:
Previous experience preferred and demonstrated ability to lead group fitness, required. Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.
