Job Description
Overview Maxims in Oconomowoc is seeking new hires for serving, hosting and bussing on weekdays and weekends. We are after dependable, eager to learn people who believe in prioritizing the customer experience, and contributing positively to their workplace. This role offers flexible hours and days, and allows you to work in a fast paced, positive environment.
Pay is as follows:
servers: 2.33 an hour plus tips, hosts: 13-15 an hour, plus tips bussers: 10 an hour plus a tipout from the servers on duty. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly, provide menu recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverage options with enthusiasm and professionalism. Take accurate orders and input properly into the computers/POS system. Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales by suggesting specials or informing guests about specialty desserts or dining options. Manage guest needs throughout their dining experience by checking on tables, bussing when necessary, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Maintain food safety standards by adhering to sanitation procedures, proper food handling practices, and cleanliness protocols. Process cash transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, or digital payments with professionalism and good organizational skills. Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is helpful, but not required; Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest relations. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking between serving tables and processing transactions. Basic math skills for handling bills, tips, and cash transactions accurately.
