Pilates Instructor Hometown Pilates Verona, WI Job Details Part-time $30 - $60 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Pilates instruction Customer communication Anatomy knowledge Client rapport building Pilates Individualized instructions Adapted physical activity Full Job Description Hometown Pilates LLC is looking to hire a classically trained Pilates Instructor who is comprehensively certified in all apparatus: Trapeze Table, Wunda Chair, Barrels, Reformer or currently enrolled in coursework. The ideal teacher is someone who is experienced in Private Lessons and Semi Private Instruction, with knowledge of modifications for special populations, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Several years of experience and weeknight availability is preferred. All employees at Hometown Pilates are orientated with the Hometown Pilates Tiered Class Curriculum and expected to be open to ongoing mentoring by the owner/senior instructor.
Duties & Responsibilities Instructing:
Instruct Classes According to the Class Curriculum. Knowledge of all Pilates Apparatus is required for teaching private lessons.
Client Connection:
Provide personalized cues, adjustments, and modifications to ensure safety and optimal form for all body types. Build friendly rapport with clients to encourage their progress.
Atmosphere Management:
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting studio space before and after sessions.
Growth & Education:
Teachers are encouraged to attend a weekly sponsored Equipment Class for ongoing mentoring; as well as continuing education through teacher training Workshops taught in house.
Safety First:
Follow protocol for new clients in order to identify injuries or physical limitations, and know how to make modifications for them.
Requirements & Skills Certification:
Nationally recognized Pilates certification or similar.
Experience:
Previous experience teaching in a small studio setting is preferred.
Communication:
Has excellent communication skills and responds in a timely manner.
Reliability:
Punctuality and holds a commitment to the part-time schedule.
Knowledge:
Solid understanding of functional anatomy and the ability to modify exercises for injuries or pregnancy.
Studio Involvement:
The ideal candidate will make time for participating in continuing education and mentoring. Hometown Pilates teachers receive discounts on classes, and have access to a free faculty workout on a regular basis.
