Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire A hospital facility in Alaska is seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist for an immediate contract opportunity. This position is ideal for pharmacists who are comfortable working in a hospital setting and have experience with order entry, product verification, and collaborating with healthcare teams in an acute care environment. The facility offers flexible scheduling with rotating shifts throughout the week, including weekends. Responsibilities Verify physician medication orders and ensure medication safety. Perform product verification and standard inpatient pharmacy duties. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff regarding medication therapies. Maintain compliance with hospital pharmacy procedures and regulations. Support daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced hospital environment. Experience At least 1 year of recent hospital pharmacist experience required. Experience with inpatient order verification and hospital pharmacy workflows. Cerner experience preferred. Qualifications Active Alaska Pharmacist license or temporary Alaska license accepted. Candidates without an active Alaska license must apply within 24 hours of accepting an offer. Strong communication and clinical problem-solving skills. Ability to work rotating schedules including weekends and holidays as needed.
