Pay Information Internal Hires:
Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
External Hires:
This position starts at $68.60 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.
Job Summary:
The infusion Pharmacist is responsible for interpreting and evaluating provider orders for safe, rational, and cost effective drug therapy for patients of the Infusion Therapy Department of Bartlett Regional Hospital. The Infusion Pharmacist is responsible for the accuracy of hazardous and specialty drug dispensing, monitoring of drug therapy, communicating with providers involved in the care of patients, participating in assuring adherence to BRH drug use policy, and providing pharmacotherapy education and information for providers, nurses, and patients. The Infusion Pharmacist is also responsible for clinical projects and oversight of the Infusion Pharmacy Suite including cleanroom standards in accordance with USP 797 and USP 800. N/A Experience:
One (1) year of experience in an in-patient or hospital setting
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in oncology pharmacy practice or completion of a pharmacy practice residency in a hospital setting License(s): State of Alaska Pharmacist License Preferred Certification(s): Professional or board certification in compounded sterile preparations. Board certification in oncology.
