Job Overview Job Overview We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree to provide safe and accurate medication dispensing and high-quality patient care. The Pharmacist will review prescriptions, counsel patients on medications, identify potential drug interactions, maintain confidential patient records, manage pharmacy inventory, and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Experience with CPR+ pharmacy software is a major plus , even if the experience is not recent. Candidates should also have strong knowledge of medication safety, patient counseling, pharmacy operations, and applicable pharmacy regulations. Experience with compounding, sterile preparations, and supervising pharmacy staff is preferred. Duties Duties & Responsibilities Review, verify, and accurately dispense prescription medications. Ensure prescriptions are appropriate, safe, and compliant with pharmacy laws and regulations. Monitor patient medication compliance, usage patterns, and potential medication-related concerns. Review prescriptions for drug interactions, sensitivities, contraindications, and dosage concerns. Counsel patients on proper medication use, dosage, storage, side effects, and potential drug interactions. Provide guidance on prescription and over-the-counter medications. Identify drug-related problems and communicate recommendations to physicians and other healthcare providers. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, pharmacy files, and medication documentation. Provide patient services including smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management. Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors. Compound medications for internal and external use according to established procedures. Prepare sterile solutions while following appropriate safety and quality procedures. Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians, pharmacy clerks, interns, and other pharmacy staff. Maintain adequate inventory of medications, pharmaceutical products, and medical supplies. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, interns, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care. Follow all pharmacy policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Accurately document medication-related activities and maintain the confidentiality of patient information. Requirements Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required. Active Pharmacist license issued by the applicable state pharmacy board. Experience with prescription dispensing and medication verification. Strong knowledge of drug interactions, dosage, side effects, contraindications, and medication safety. Excellent patient counseling and communication skills. Experience collaborating with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. Experience identifying and resolving drug-related problems. Experience with pharmacy records, patient documentation, and inventory management. Compounding and sterile preparation experience preferred. Experience supervising pharmacy technicians, clerks, interns, or other pharmacy staff preferred. CPR+ pharmacy software experience is a major plus, even if the experience is not recent. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential patient information. Ability to work in compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, policies, and safety procedures. #
