Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract Provide expert clinical pharmacy services as an interim pharmacist in a dynamic acute care hospital setting specializing in med-surg, ICU, and women's health. This contract role offers a collaborative environment with onsite training and the opportunity to support a small pharmacy team committed to high-quality patient care.
Location:
Forrest City, Arkansas Schedule:
3 days per week, with flexible scheduling coordinated with Director of Pharmacy Coverage hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM No weekend or on-call duties
Key Responsibilities:
Perform order verification and IV compounding ensuring accuracy and safety Provide oversight and guidance to pharmacy technicians managing Pyxis ES automation system Collaborate with staff to ensure timely medication dispensing and maintenance of medication areas Support crash cart inspections, unit dose preparation, and medication stock management
Qualifications/Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist with an active Arkansas state license (required) Hospital pharmacy experience preferred, with familiarity or willingness to learn Medhost order entry system Ability to perform pharmacy duties in an acute care environment Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills for working alongside pharmacy technicians
Additional Details:
