Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a Director of Pharmacy to provide leadership and direction for pharmacy operations across two Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospitals in the greater Phoenix area. The role is ideal for a motivated pharmacist with strong management skills who is ready to oversee multiple facilities and contribute to the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care.
Location:
Greater Phoenix area, AZ (Mesa-based)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage pharmacy services at two LTAC hospitals to ensure compliance with regulations and organizational standards Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to optimize pharmacy operations and patient safety Collaborate with clinical teams to support effective medication management, formulary decisions, and therapeutic initiatives Oversee pharmacy staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations Monitor budgetary and resource utilization to achieve operational efficiency Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and ensure accreditation readiness
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Active pharmacist license with relevant state licensure Proven experience in pharmacy leadership, preferably as a Director of Pharmacy or similar role Strong understanding of LTAC hospital pharmacy practice and regulatory requirements Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and foster a collaborative working environment
