An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Retail Supervisor in Peridot, AZ, offering full-time hours on a contract basis for at least 13 weeks, with potential extensions. This role primarily supports pharmacy operations within a retail setting and may suit candidates local to the area with interest in converting to a full-time employee, though travelers will also be considered.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety standards. Develop and monitor financial and operational goals, integrating improvements into quality systems. Lead development and implementation of department policies and procedures. Continuously evaluate and enhance service processes and effectiveness. Manage staff performance, training, and development initiatives. Oversee inventory management and purchasing to maintain cost-effective and timely medication availability. Implement and monitor pharmacy technician systems for accuracy and efficiency. Prepare reports, track progress, and identify opportunities for improvement. Participate in staff orientation, ongoing training, and quality assurance initiatives. Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred. One-year residency (PGY1) preferred. Minimum of five years of professional pharmacy experience, including at least two years in a management role. Minimum of two years hospital practice experience preferred. Current, active, and unrestricted pharmacist license; Arizona license preferred. BLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 30 days of hire. Licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred. Ability to successfully pass background and drug screening.
