Prime Rx-Software Responsibilities Review and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness for patients. Provide patient assessments and counseling on medication therapy, including potential side effects and interactions. Compound medications as required, adhering to aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Administer immunizations and manage medication administration processes. Maintain accurate inventory management of pharmaceuticals and supplies. Utilize pharmacy software, EMR systems, and EHR systems to document patient care activities. Collaborate with healthcare providers in acute care settings, including critical care and pediatrics. Conduct medication therapy management and pain management consultations. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology. Experience in LTC pharmacy, hospital environments, or acute care settings is preferred. Critical care experience is a plus, along with a pharmacy residency or clinical pharmacy experience. Proficient in IV insertion and IV infusion techniques. Ability to assess patients effectively and provide personalized medication management plans.
